Gilles’ lie that he is Persian saves him from execution at a Jewish concentration camp but forces him to teach the officer in charge of the kitchen Farsi. To stay alive, Gilles must keep teaching a language he doesn’t know. Extraordinary, unpredictable and memorable.

Films are screened at The Harlington in Fleet every fortnight on Mondays. Everyone is welcome.
